March with the GTWA at the G20 Demos

The Greater Toronto Workers Assembly has a banner designed by members of the Cultural Committee. GTWA members and supporters are encouraged to march with the banner at the following G20 demonstrations:

June 25th: "Justice for Our Communities" Free the Streets! March; Block Party, 2:30pm, Allan Gardens (Carlton Street between Jarvis and Sherbourne Street); http://25june.wordpress.com/

June 26th: "People's First. We Deserve Better", 1:00pm Queen's Park http://www.canadianlabour.ca/news-room/events/g8-g20-public-rally-and-march

Look for us and march with us! On Saturday look for the red banner behind the union contingents on the southern part of Queen’s park.

Please note: The banner will not be continuing on with the "Get Off the Fence March" http://g20.torontomobilize.org/getoffthefence. Neither the Assembly as a whole or the Coordinating Committee has taken a position discouraging or encouraging participation in the "Get Off the Fence March". There are members who will be taking part and members who will be not taking part. Regardless of the number of members taking part the standard-bearers of the GTWA banner will be staying with the "People's First. We Deserve Better" march when the split off happens.

Reminder: In early July we plan on holding a G20 Debrief, at a time and place to be announced. This will be a great opportunity to examine and learn from the politics, strategies and tactics employed by both "their" side (the state and big business) and ours.
