The GTWA holds monthly general membership meetings in order to shape our organization, discuss politics and plan our work. Members are encouraged to attend and take part. Supporters and observers are welcome.
Greater Toronto Workers' Assembly April General Membership Meeting

Date: Thursday April 26
Time: 7pm-9pm (New members, perspective members see agenda for optional early start)

Austerity in Education Panel and Discussion
 
- Featuring speakers on the post-secondary sector, Ontario teachers union and the Quebec student student strike. (see the bottom of this post for info on a solidarity action with Quebec students planned for earlier in the day)
 
Celebrating May Day in Toronto
 
- A short talk on the significance of May Day. Followed by a discussion on how the GTWA can be active and have a presence at the May Day events and future moblizations.

Survey on GMM's
 
- Questions to the membership on our GMM's. At the next GMM we will discuss how we can better organize these meetings.

Solidarity With Quebec Student Strike
 
Prior to the GMM there will be an action in solidarity with striking Quebec students. Members are encouraged to attend if they are able to:

Join us for a rally in front of Québec's Office in Toronto in solidarity with the ongoing student strike. On this occasion, we will be delivering a petition to be sent to the Premier's office in Québec.
