Membership
 
To be a member of the Greater Toronto Workers' Assembly send an email to: workingclassfightback@gmail.com
 
Include the following: name, phone, email address, and affiliations (if any), agreement with membership statements below.
 
In order to be a member you must agree with the following two statements:
 
A. I agree with the Assembly's vision statement, including the commitment to non-sectarian anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist and radical anti-oppression politics and to building unity and solidarity amongst the working class, defined in the broadest terms;
 
B. And I will contribute to Assembly activities, which can include: participation on a committee, participation in a campaign or project of the Assembly, attending Assembly meetings, and engagement with the political education of the organization.
 
Upon receiving your membership application someone from the membership committee will contact you over email.
 
 
Supporter Status

If you would like to check out the Assembly before joining consider becoming a supporter. As a supporter you will be kept informed of and invited to Assembly activities (through our email list), however you will not have a vote in decision making. To be a supporter send an email to: workingclassfightback@gmail.com. Include the following: name, phone, email address, and affiliations (if any).
 
 
Privacy

We respect our members privacy and keep membership information secure. Currently only a limited number of Membership Committee members have full access to members names and information. This information is securely stored and backed up. We use Google Groups for our member and supporter email list. Google has their own privacy policy: http://groups-beta.google.com/googlegroups/privacy.html . We also have a Facebook group. Facebook privacy is practically nonexistant and beyond our control.  We do not share member information with any other outside organizations. Requests for access to member information by an Assembly Committee (for example - the Campaigns Committee wants to consult with members who are active in the health sector) must be formally made to the Membership Committee. Committees can send information to members as a whole by requesting that it be posted on the email list or through the Internal Disussion Bulliten. Indvidual members can and are enouraged to communicate to the membership as a whole by using the Internal Discussion Bulletin.
